I-LAD (Innovating Losses Analysis and Detection) - SIF Discovery Show and Tell

You're invited to join us as we share insights from the Discovery phase of our Innovating Losses Analysis and Detection (I-LAD) project at a forthcoming 'show and tell' online session on 22nd May at 1pm. 

Electrical losses in energy networks account for 5-8% of total distributed units and have significant financial and environmental impacts. These losses cost households around £100 annually and contribute to 90% of a Distribution Network Operator’s (DNO) greenhouse gas emission. 

To tackle this, the I-LAD Project, part of Ofgem's Strategic Innovation Fund, was launched by SSEN-Distribution. This initiative, involving ScottishPower Retail, CGI, and Frontier Economics, aims to enhance collaboration and data sharing to better detect and manage Non-Technical Losses.  

Through I-LAD’s unique methods combining network, supplier, and socio-economic data, the project seeks to improve intervention effectiveness and reduce false positives.
