SSEN Distribution Network Options Assessment (DNOA) Webinar

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) would like to invite you to a webinar to introduce our Distribution Network Options Assessment (DNOA) methodology and gather your feedback as part of our annual refresh.    

The electricity distribution grid is a critical component in the journey to net zero.  Our customers want to decarbonise their homes and operations, and we need to deliver a network that can facilitate their ambitions.  

SSEN’s Distribution System Operations (DSO) is taking a strategic approach to developing our distribution network. As such, we have a strategic planning process to ensure that we meet the needs of our customers today while enabling pathways to net zero.  Further information on this can be found here.  

As part of this, we have introduced a Distribution Network Options Assessment (DNOA) methodology. The DNOA methodology helps us transparently demonstrate how we make decisions to meet the network’s capacity needs through procurement of flexibility or investing strategically in our network.  Our DNOA outcomes reports describe our plans for meeting network needs for the next 7 years, underpinned by the DNOA methodology.  

Last year, following consultation of our DNOA methodology, we committed to an annual review of the document.  It is critical that we work with stakeholders to develop our future plans, so we are consulting on the DNOA methodology before its final publication.

During this webinar, we will introduce our DNOA process and what this means for you, explain the methodology highlighting the changes being proposed, and capture your feedback.  

The webinar will take place 10:00 until 11:00 Wednesday 26th February.
