Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) would like to invite you to a webinar to introduce you to our Strategic Development Plans.
The electricity distribution grid is a critical component in the journey to net zero. Our customers want to decarbonise their homes and operations, and we need to deliver a network that can facilitate their ambitions.
SSEN’s Distribution System Operations (DSO) is taking a strategic approach to developing our distribution network. As such, we have a strategic planning process to ensure that we meet the needs of our customers today while enabling pathways to net zero. Further information on this can be found here.
As part of this process, we are producing Strategic Development Plans (SDPs). These SDPs cover both recommendations for works that need to be delivered in the shorter term alongside longer term needs that will be consulted on with stakeholders. SDPs act as blueprints for our future plans and will each focus on a Grid Supply Point (GSP) area. They will be reviewed annually, accounting for changes to our customers’ needs.
It is critical that we work with stakeholders to develop our future plans, so we will be consulting on each of the draft Strategic Development Plans ahead of final publication.
During this webinar, we will introduce our Strategic Development Plans, give an overview of what’s included and answer any questions you may have ahead of the consultations. It will also be an opportunity for us to capture your feedback on how we consult and how we can make these documents as accessible as possible.
The webinar will take place 10:00 until 11:30 Friday 13th September.
Teams recording invite text: The online event will take place on Microsoft Teams and will be recorded for training and knowledge sharing purposes. We would welcome you to engage directly with our team however should you wish for your contribution not to be recorded we would kindly ask that you remain on mute and off camera.??
