SSEN Operational Decision Making (ODM) Webinar

We are currently going through our Operational Decision-Making (ODM) annual review process, and we have now scheduled our next webinar. If you have an interest in our ODM and associated processes we hope you are able to join us.

We will be publishing our draft ODM document in October of this year and in advance of this we would invite you to feedback on the process and our proposals so far during this webinar. 

The ODM document is designed to showcase the transparent decision-making behind the dispatch of Distributed Energy Resources and Consumer Energy Resource, during outages and through the use of Flexibility Services and Access Products.  It highlights the different options available to us to effectively and economically manage the network on a day-to-day basis and keep our customers connected.

Listening to the feedback from this engagement will allow us to refine our decision-making. 

We invite you to join a dedicated webinar scheduled for Tuesday, 23 July from 10:30 am to 12 noon. During this webinar, we will discuss and seek input on the following topics: 

•           Flexibility Services Shortfall Procedure

•           Control of Battery Energy Storage Systems and Local Constraint Markets

•           Technical Limits Coordination

ODM is a complex subject and in advance of the webinar we would invite you to read our current ODM, we will welcome your comments and observations on this during the webinar.  You will also find our Seasonal Operability Report here.
