We hope this message finds you well. As a valued stakeholder who has shown interest in our Distribution System Operator (DSO) function and associated processes, we wanted to provide you with an update.
Recently, we unveiled our DSO Acceleration plan and engaged with approximately 130 stakeholders through a dedicated conference. The valuable insights gathered from these interactions have played a crucial role in shaping our direction, particularly in areas such as the long-term development of our networks and enhancing decision-making transparency.
Listening to the feedback received during the conference and subsequent bilateral conversations this autumn, we have made significant strides in refining our strategic planning processes, with a specific focus on the Distribution Networks Options Assessment (DNOA) process.
The DNOA process is designed to showcase the transparent decision-making behind the use of flexibility services and additional network build investments. It aims to highlight future flexibility opportunities and expedite our network investment program, enabling earlier connections for both demand and generation customers.
Central to the success of the DNOA process is the underlying methodology. While we have already incorporated feedback and explored industry best practices, we are eager to provide stakeholders like yourself with the opportunity to review our draft proposed methodology and offer further input.
Our plan is to release the DNOA methodology consultation in January 2024. In conjunction with this, we extend an invitation for you to join a dedicated webinar scheduled for Monday, January 22nd, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. During this webinar, we will delve into the details of our proposals, covering:
• Long-term strategic forecasting and planning
• Option development and assessment
• Audit and assurance arrangements
