Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) invite you to attend our upcoming Powering the Future Together conference which will introduce our refreshed DSO Strategy.
Our DSO Strategy builds on the tangible strides we've made over the past few years, and highlights our commitment to local communities that accelerate the progress towards a net zero world. In this event we will introduce our stakeholder-led action plan update. The conference allows us all to connect personally, fostering relationships, and extending the platform for active collaboration.
Designed for stakeholders from all backgrounds and experiences, the conference is a platform to share ideas on how to deal with the challenges of today and grasp the opportunities of tomorrow. Your input and participation are instrumental in accelerating our DSO journey and we aim to facilitate an open and collaborative forum for you to contribute insights, ideas, and constructive feedback.
We are delighted to be joined by
Marzia Zafar (Deputy Director for Digitalisation & Decentralisation, Ofgem)
Charlotte Johnson (Head of Research Programmes, Centre for Sustainable Energy), and
Marcia Poletti (Head of European System Change, Octopus) for their insights into the key issues to address on the path to net zero.
Each session will be hosted by members of our Senior Leadership team, including our Managing Director, giving an overview of SSEN DSO, our outlook, performance and strategic priorities.
We’ll then ask for your contribution in two dedicated sessions exploring Enabling Flexibility For All, and Connecting Communities, where we will seek your views on key topics including: ensuring our future network supports net zero, support for local authorities and community groups, and how best to widen participation and attract new entrants to the distribution flexibility market.
The sessions will finish with a panel discussion where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and raise topics not already covered in the agenda.
Understanding the views of our stakeholders and acting on this feedback is absolutely vital to making sure we continue to deliver for our customers and communities. Your ongoing participation in our engagement events is very much appreciated.
