SSEN NDP Consultation Webinar

We are pleased to invite you to an upcoming webinar focused on our draft Network Development Plan (NDP). This publication covers our flexibility needs and network intervention plans for the next 10 years relating to the 11kV network and above. We want it to help interested parties assess and identify future opportunities to access our networks.

During the webinar, we will provide an overview of the three components of our NDP:

• Our Methodology
• Network Development Report, and
• Network Scenario Headroom Report

Our overview will cover how the NDP fits into our wider strategic planning process,  areas of the network that are forecast to have capacity for future connections, and areas of the network where we have plans for interventions and/or flexibility procurement.

You can access our draft NDP documents via the related links below. 

As part of our consultation period leading up to publication of our final NDP by 1st of May, this webinar is also an opportunity for you to share feedback you have on the draft version. We welcome any input you may have but are particularly interested in hearing your views on the below points: 

• To help us understand how to help you, could you outline how you plan to use the information contained in this plan?
• Does the Network Development Plan provide the information you need to understand our development plans for the network out to 2034? If not, what future improvements could be made?
• Are the methodology and assumptions used to prepare this plan clear? If not, have you any feedback for future iterations?
• Is the proposed format for the Network Headroom Report clear?
• Can you easily identify areas where there is capacity and where there are constraints?
   

Please note that the data and information in the draft NDP are subject to further review and change, and that the final NDP will provide our most up to date forecast scenarios, investment requirements, and headroom capacity.
